Makers of Lucozade and Ribena announce new £2.5 million investment to support local communities in the UK and Ireland

Makers of Lucozade and Ribena announce new £2.5 million investment to support local communities in the UK and Ireland

Suntory Beverage & Food GB&I (SBF GB&I), the makers of Lucozade and Ribena, today announces the launch of “Together for Good: SBF GB&I Community Fund”, a new long-term initiative designed to deliver measurable positive impact in local communities.

The business has committed to invest up to £2.5 million into communities across the UK and Ireland by 2030, starting with £250,000 in the first year. Central to the initiative is a match funding model offering up to £10,000 per project, helping turn community ideas into real impact. Successful applicants will raise funds via the Crowdfunder UK platform and SBF GB&I will match contributions to double the investment, ensuring change is driven by and for the people closest to the local community.

    Real impact in local communities
Local charities, social enterprises and community groups based near SBF GB&I’s head office in Uxbridge, its factory in the Forest of Dean and its office in Dublin will be invited to put forward projects for support. The fund aims to support a wide range of local initiatives that promote community wellbeing, support essential services or improve shared spaces and natural environments.

To receive funding, the projects need to reflect the company’s purpose to “inspire the brilliance of life, by creating rich experiences for people, in harmony with nature”. Eligible groups can apply for support to establish, sustain or expand work that creates positive impact in their communities. This could include initiatives such as regenerating green spaces, supporting mental and physical wellbeing, connecting young people with nature through education or fostering social inclusion through culture, creativity or sport.

“We know the best ideas for creating positive impact in local areas come from the people who live and work there. Through our new Together for Good: SBF GB&I Community Fund, we’re empowering local groups to turn innovative ideas into action. This initiative is a key part of our commitment to Giving Back to Society, supporting communities where we live and work. By backing community-led solutions, our fund helps deliver change that truly matters and underlines our long-term commitment to drive sustainable impact where it’s needed most.”

Elise Seibold, Chief Operating Officer, SBF GB&I, comments

“I’m pleased to see SBF GB&I launching its Together for Good Community Fund, which will bring meaningful support to community groups across the Forest of Dean. In the year its Coleford factory celebrates 80 years here, the fund reflects a long-standing commitment to our community. I encourage local charities and groups to join the Crowdfunder platform and put forward projects that can make a real difference.”

    Building on company values
The initiative builds on the foundations of SBF GB&I’s volunteering and charitable donation platform ‘Together for Good’, which was launched in 2023 to give employees a new way to give back to charities important to them. Since then, employees have volunteered their time to a huge variety of causes: from redecorating community centres and maintaining local gardens to writing letters of joy to the elderly, all in support of local people and the spaces that are important to them. In 2025 alone, SBF GB&I employees volunteered over 1,600 hours to these causes. The launch of the fund sees both the existing volunteering initiative and new financial donations united under one ‘Together for Good’ umbrella.

‘Giving Back to Society’ is deep-rooted within Suntory’s global purpose and a strongly held company value. It’s a legacy passed on from Suntory’s founder Shinjiro Torii and his belief in recognising the company’s responsibility to make a positive impact on people, nature and society. The company is proud of its long-lasting relationships with a number of charity partners, including a yearly drinks donation to Crisis at Christmas and supporting employees in numerous sporting challenges to raise funds for charities such as Grocery Aid.

    An invitation to local communities
The SBF GB&I Fund on the Crowdfunder platform is open year-round for applications and includes full details on eligibility criteria and timelines. Community groups, charities, local volunteers and residents in Uxbridge are invited to take part and share projects they’re passionate about that could really make a difference to their local areas.

The launch of the fund follows the relocation of SBF GB&I’s new UK head office to Uxbridge last summer and reflects an ambition to build strong, lasting relationships with the local community and to invest in the local area.
