Michael Friel, Finance Director
Michael Friel joins from Suntory Beverage & Food France, where he most recently served as Head of Revenue Growth Management and was a member of its executive committee. A Chartered Accountant with over 25 years’ experience, Michael began his career at Deloitte in Dublin before spending 16 years at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners in Paris. Since joining Suntory in 2022, he has played a key role in leading commercial finance strategy and driving major transformation projects. Michael brings deep financial expertise and a strong focus on value creation to support SBF GB&I through its next phase of growth. This new opportunity is a testament to the company’s commitment to recognising, nurturing and promoting internal talent within Suntory Group.
Alex Ohlson, General Counsel
Alex joins from Unilever, where he was responsible for the end-to-end legal support for the Home Care Business Group as its Legal Director. He has previously worked in a variety of legal roles across local and global remits and across multiple categories including personal care, home care and foods. With over nine years at the company, he brings a strong track record in corporate and commercial law, including supply chain, procurement, route to market, marketing and brand strategy. His leadership and strategic insight will be central to strengthening SBF GB&I’s legal capabilities and supporting the business in an evolving regulatory environment.
Both these appointments will bolster the leadership team and reflect SBF GB&I’s continued commitment to investing in the right talent required to deliver sustainable growth for the organisation.
